The Krementz legacy was born in 1866 in Newark, New Jersey when George Krementz began manufacturing karat gold jewelry…fine dress sets for men and lovely necklaces, pins and earrings for women. With exquisite craftsmanship and beautiful design, Krementz Jewelry soon became the standard for quality and excellence.
 
Krementz adapted flawlessly to the changing fashions and styles through the years, remaining a premier jewelry manufacturer. A line of costume jewelry was added to the collection, manufactured as impeccably as its gold counterpart. By the 1970s, many collections were under the Krementz umbrella: overlay (costume) jewelry, wedding rings, 14 karat fashion jewelry, 14 karat religious jewelry, 18 karat diamond jewelry, and platinum and 18 karat colored gemstone jewelry.
