For, after making history as the first female artist to see her first five albums debut at #1(a feat accomplished by her fifth album ‘Beyonce’), the songstress broke Itunes sales records while also notching her personal best first week sales.

Now, after less than a week of availability, the ‘Halo’ hitmaker sees her sales soar past the 1 million sold threshold.  This news is accompanied with reports that she is already listed in the year’s list of top sellers, despite the brevity of its availability and no physical copy of the album on shelves.

“…Beyonce’s self-titled album has sold over 1 million copies in the worldwide iTunes Store.

The millionth sale came around 11:15 am PST on Wednesday.

“Beyoncé,” released as a surprise shot as Thursday ticked over into Friday of last week, became the fastest-selling album to ever hit iTunes. The singer’s fifth solo album moved 828,773 copies over the course of its first weekend.”

Via Billboard:
“After only three days on sale, Beyonce’s new self-titled album is the No. 24 biggest-selling album of 2013 in the U.S.

With 617,000 sold through Dec. 15, according to Nielsen SoundScan, “Beyonce” is sandwiched between Robin Thicke’s “Blurred Lines” (No. 23 with 633,000) and Kanye West’s “Yeezus” (No. 25 with 607,000).

The year’s top selling album remains Justin Timberlake’s “The 20/20 Experience,” with 2.4 million sold. It’s the only album to move more than 2 million copies this year.  A total of 10 albums have shifted at least a million copies in 2013.”
