Robbie Williams has denied that he will be recording with Adele on his forthcoming new swing album.

The 'Let Me Entertain You' singer is busy working on the follow-up to his 2012 studio album and the first swing record since 2001's 'Swing When You're Winning'.

It was rumoured the pair were planning on recording a duet, but the Take That man has told RTE that he has no plans to ask her as he is too scared.

"She's my mate and I'm absolutely terrified to ask her! I haven't asked her and I won't be asking her because the whole world wants to sing with Adele right now," he explained. "Her and my wife Ayda are really good friends and I'm really good friends with Simon, her boyfriend."

He continued: "We're good pals but I wouldn't ask Adele to sing on my record. The whole world wants Adele to sing on their record.

The singer also confirmed that he has teamed up with Michael Buble.

"Me and Michael on the same record, I'm so excited. We're going to record a song I've written and graciously he thinks it's a good tune too and wants to be on it and I am a big-fan girl of him," he said.

"He's quite a presence. I'm a pop star, I've got a 'character' and a 'personality' and all that but when he comes into the studio I stand back and just enjoy him being him."

Meanwhile, it has been reported that Adele is back in the studio working on her own record and the follow-up to her Grammy Award winning '21'.
