How to Repair Bathroom Cabinets

Bathroom cabinets can take a lot of wear and tear. As a result, their surfaces get dinged, their doors droop, and their drawers drop. Repairs to a cabinet itself depends on whether the damage is structural-say, at a hinge location-or cosmetic, such as on a door face or a visible part of the cabinet box.

Structural repairs to wooden cabinets are easiest if the wood has cracked or even split away. If it’s a clean break, you can just apply a little wood glue, clamp the break, wipe away excess glue, and allow to dry. This can make the repair area even stronger than the original piece.

But surfaces can become dinged and doors and drawers, because they’re frequently in motion, can become misaligned or cease to operate smoothly.
