Woman Breaks Into Prison to See Boyfriend

Gainesville, Florida (The Weekly Vice) -- Victoria Thorp, a 19-year-old Gainesville woman was arrested Wednesday after she broke into a minimum security prison to see her boyfriend.

According to police, Thorp was arrested at about 3 a.m. Wednesday after she was found inside a dormitory at the Santa Fe Work Release Center in Gainesville.

Investigators say she broke into the facility to have a rendezvous with her boyfriend,Aquilla Wilson, who is currently serving a 30-month sentence on drug charges.

Wilson reportedly jumped out a window and escaped from the facility, leaving Thorpbehind.

Thorp was jailed on charges of aiding in a prisoner's escape and introduction of contraband into prison. Bail was not set at the time of this report.

Wilson has not been apprehended and remains a fugitive of justice.
