1875 was when the Stacy Adams Shoe Company was founded with the collaboration of William H. Stacyomoma and Henry L. Adams. Thus giving birth to the name of Stacy Adams. The story is that they were shopping for shoes in the same store and they were struck by the thought that all the shoes in the store were oriented towards being functional and there was very little attention paid to the style quotient. Their need to have stylish shoes gave birth to a common dream that was Stacy Adams Shoe Company.

From the time it started manufacturing shoes, the Stacy Adams show company was unique in the fact that it created shoes which were stitched intricately and also used colors that were simply not available in any other men’s’ shoes brands. This changed, forever, the shoe industry in the US.

One underlying principle of Stacy Adams has been understated style. While the use of color and style was of paramount importance, they produced classy shoes which were never loud or gaudy in their fashion statement. They also have a broad range of shoes to suite the personal style preferences for everybody. In a reminder of their origins, one of their brands of shoes is also called Brockton Originals.

The company was established in Brockton, Massachusetts in the US. Since its inception, the company has incorporated products like suits, jewelry, sleepwear and underwear too. In fact, the company has also incorporated some very modern fashion in terms of hip hop clothing.
