L'Wren Scott for Banana Republic

L'Wren Scott, the fashion designing other half of rock star Mick Jagger, has created a limited-edition capsule collection for Banana Republic launching worldwide on December 5.

Totalling over 50 pieces, including clothing and accessories, these range from sequinned party dresses and bejewelled cardigans to tailored jeans, lace dresses and pencil skirts - and also takes in faux fur stoles and a multi-tasking clutch bag with a chain that doubles up as a statement necklace or bracelet.

Scott has even designed her own original prints - notably a dramatic lip print in Lipstick Red and Ultra Violet which plays out across skirts, blouses, handbags, scarves and pyjama sets.

More known for her salon style catwalk shows, which take the form of exclusive luncheon parties (in February, she treated guests attending her Klimt inspired show to shepherd's pie and gold-leaf lollipops for dessert), this is the first time Scott has partnered with a global fashion retailer.

Scott who started her career as a model (she was discovered in her Utah hometown by Bruce Weber and her legs went on to star in the Pretty Polly campaign with the clock face), soon gravitated into celebrity styling.

The capsule launches at select Banana Republic retail locations worldwide and online December 5, 2013.
