For the second consecutive year, an alumnus of the School, has been named the No. 1 financial advisor in Florida by Barron's magazine. Patrick Dwyer (MBA ’93), a private wealth advisor in the Miami office of Merrill Lynch, is among those named in the publication's list of "America's Top 1,000 Advisors: State-by-State," published in February. Dwyer has also been included in Registered Rep magazine's annual list of "America's Top 50 Advisors' and Barron's Top 100 Financial Advisors. He is joined on Barron’s 2011Florida list by School of Business alumnus Arthur B. Barzilay (BBA '73), who works in Merrill Lynch’s Coral Springs office.
Dwyer joined Merrill Lynch in 1993 as a member of its MBA Analyst Program, which is an exclusive training ground for the firm's most senior executives. He was the first in the firm to be accredited by senior management to handle the firm's wealthiest clients as a private wealth advisor.
