The May-December marriage of Valerie Plame and Joe Wilson is once again on solid ground even though the "Plame Affair" created emotional and legal stress for the couple.

Joe met Valerie in February 1997 at a reception at the Turkish Ambassador's residence.

Joe: "When I looked up and saw across the room this willowy blonde, resembling a young Grace Kelly. She looked at me, and I immediately thought that I knew her from somewhere, so I smiled. Sme smiled broadly back and began to move toward me. At that instant, my world went into slow motion as I watched her approach. I was hopelessly smitten. The French call it a coup de foudre (a thunderclap); we call it love at first sight."

Joe: "She did not let anyone into the conversation, and I did not let anyone into the conversation."

Valerie and Joe were married on April 3, 1998 in Washington, D.C. at the District Building which is also known as Washington's City Hall. Valerie's parents were their witnesses.
