Mill Creek Farm, just outside Lexington, KY, is the result of a lifelong passion for horse care by the husband wife team of Debra and Giles Instone. Converted in 2004 from a top thoroughbred facility to high performance paints, the 62 acre farm represents years of equine experience and the Instone’s unparalleled attention to detail.

Nestled in the charming town of Midway, Kentucky, Mill Creek Farm is almost completely surrounded by the soothing waters of Elk Horn Creek. The historic Weisenberger Mill borders the edge of one of the farm’s 2 main pastures with the picture– perfect setting attracting a large array of wildlife. Under Debra’s ever-vigilant eyes, the farm has blossomed into a first class breeding and selling ground for high performance paints. All pastures, including 5 one-acre parcels have been re-seeded, re-fenced and the 12-stall barn has been upgraded. The latest addition is a brand-new 50 ft. round pen.

Debra’s proven producers are bred to leading stallions, always with an eye towards show ring success. Every year, Mill Creek offers up its entire foal crop for sale. Pampered from birth, Mill Creek foals receive nothing but the best. A vitamin-rich feeding program is coupled with constant handling from the moment the foals stand and nurse. Feet are trimmed once a month and top notch farrier and veterinary care is a regular part of the program. The results of this intense program of TLC speak for themselves.
