M. Arthur Gensler Jr. & Associates, Inc., referred to as Gensler, is a global design and architecture firm headquartered in San Francisco, California. In 2011, Gensler generated the most revenue of any architecture firm based in the United States. As of 2012, it operates satellite offices in 42 cities worldwide.

Founding
The firm was founded in 1965 by Art and DrueGensler, and their associate James Follett.The firm originally focused on corporate interiors, but has since diversified into numerous forms of architecture and design, including commercial office buildings, retail centres, airports, education facilities and entertainment complexes. It is also involved in planning and urban design, brand strategy, environmental graphic design, mission-critical facilities, sustainable design consulting, and other areas.

Staff
In October 2008, Gensler employed almost 3,300 people. However, due to the economic downturn of the late 2000s, the number of employees fell to 2,100 in 2009. As of 2012, the firm employs more than 3,500 people.

Recognition
Gensler was awarded the Architecture Firm Award for 2000 by the American Institute of Architects.
