The Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Exam, designed and administered by the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying (NCEES) in Clemson, South Carolina, is the first step on the road to becoming a professional engineer.

ELL COMPASS questions are divided into three subject areas, which are listening, reading, and writing. In turn, each of these subject areas is divided into four levels of English proficiency.

The Diagnostic Entrance Test (DET) developed by Arnett Development Corporation, is an exam that assesses a potential student’s proficiencies in basic academic areas such as math, reading, science, and writing.

Students can earn a technical certificate, associate’s degree, bachelor’s degree, master’s degree, and doctorate, depending on which college and program they choose to attend.
