If you’re feeling the need for some serious speed, Universal Studios has the perfect attraction for you. The theme park recently announced via Twitter that a brand new 'Fast & Furious' themed ride will be opening at the park's Hollywood location in 2015.

“Fast & Furious – Supercharged” will utilize the park’s back-lot trams, where guests will be surrounded by 400-foot-long movie screens, according to the New York Times. The announcement of the new ride comes in the wake of several new theme park updates, estimated at $1.6 billion, that will be completed by 2016.

'Supercharged' will join a host of other movie-related attractions including 'Despicable Me' Minion Mayhem and 'Transformers': The Ride 3-D.

“We’re going to make it feel like those trams are being pulled through the streets at speeds of over 100 miles per hour,” said Chick Russell, an executive producer for Universal Creative, told the Times.

The popular movie franchise boasts six box office hits, as well as video games. The seventh installment recently resumed filming after production was halted in the wake of the untimely death of the film’s star Paul Walker last November.
