Last Friday in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, 44-year-old Melissa Brittingham filled out a job application to work at the popular fast food restaurant, Five Guys. WCAU NBC 10 Philadelphia News reports that after completing the form, she went over to two separate jars and stole $15. This is not how you make a good impression for potential employers.

It didn’t take police very long to crack the case. They looked over surveillance footage…and the job application Ms.
Brittingham had filled out. Delaware 105.9 WXDE-FM News reports that she has pleaded guilty to a theft charge and received one year of probation. Melissa will also have to pay a $500 fine and court costs. But she’ll be able to pay that off with the salary she earns at her new job at Five Guys. Is it wrong to assume she got the job? It is? Oh. Yeah, I guess that makes sense.
