Siesta Key, Florida is very proud of our sand. In fact, we have the “World’s Finest Whitest Sand”. You’ll find beautiful seashells on Siesta’s white sands, and you’ll find the finest beach-front vacation rentals and showcase homes on the Key, too. What else can you find on the sands of Siesta Key?
 
Many species of exotic flowers, tropical trees and flowering shrubs and plants thrive in our sub-tropical climate as well. Offshore dolphins and manatees are often spotted frolicking in the gulf and bay waters.
 
The bright, white sands of Siesta Key are 99% pure quartz and is always cool to the touch. Quartz is said to have magical healing powers. Maybe this is why the residents and visitors on the beaches of Siesta Key always seem so happy. Many come to Siesta’s pristine white sand to take in its mystical powers.
 
Watersports abound on Siesta Key. For the energetic you'll find excellent sailboarding, fishing, snorkeling; or how about a little Parasailing? If you prefer more relaxation in your vacation, a personalized boat or sailing charter might be more enticing.

Along Midnight Pass Road to the south and along Beach Road to the north of Crescent Beach are several public beach accesses and parking. At the south end of the key is Turtle Beach. The beach is not as crowded as Siesta Key Beach and has a great abundance of seashells. South of Turtle Beach is Palmer Point Beach, a remote stretch of sand and sea oats. Since Midnight Pass has filled in with sand, you can now walk from Palmer Point Beach to Casey Key.
 
There are almost 50 miles of canals and waterways inside Siesta Key which is also surrounded by water, the Intracoastal waterway, Sarasota Bay, Roberts Bay and the Gulf of Mexico. Temporary docking is available at several local restaurants and many of the condominiums have boat docks available for renters. For your enjoyment, there are many marinas offering charters, guided tours and boat rentals.
