    希尔森公司Shearson是从1902到1994年间一系列投资银行和零售经纪公司的名称，以Edward Shearson命名以及他所创立的公司Shearson Hammill & Co。其中最著名的代表有Shearson / American Express, Shearson Lehman / American Express, Shearson Lehman Brothers, Shearson Lehman Hutton和最后的Smith Barney Shearson.
    第一个八十年来，该公司独立操作，并与一些华尔街令人尊敬的证券公司合并，包括Hayden Stone & Co.和Loeb Rhoades & Co.1981年，希尔森公司Shearson被American Express收购，作为其子公司运营。1984年，与Lehman Brothers Kuhn Loeb合并。1988年，与E.F. Hutton & Co.合并。
