Timothy Egan (1954年11月8日出生于美国华盛顿，西雅图) 是一个美国作家和记者。2006年出版的关于人们经历大萧条尘暴的最艰难时期的报道而赢得了全国非小说图书奖和华盛顿州图书奖/传记。
　　2001年由于《纽约时报》的系类报道“How Race is Lived in America”而荣获普利策奖。目前伊根住在美国华盛顿州的额西雅图，作为西北太平洋的记者写社论。
　　伊根写的七部书中包括荣获国家图书奖的《最艰难时刻》和《那些不为人知的美国沙尘幸存者的不为人知的故事》。
　　他的《好雨》在1991年荣获了西北太平洋书商协会奖。
　　《大燃烧》，描述了1910年美国一场烧毁了300万英亩的大火，泰迪罗斯福和救火人员是如何帮助美国森林服务局进行营救的。书中还阐述了一些西奥多罗斯福等人的政治方面的问题。此书获得了第二次西北太平洋书商奖。
