Neal Communities is a privately held, Lakewood Ranch, Florida-based, land development and home building company founded in 1970. The company has built over 8,600 new homes, home sites, and condominiums in Southwest Florida in more than 58 communities located in Bradenton, Lakewood Ranch, Parrish, Venice and Englewood. In 2011, the average sales price was approximately $283,000 with a sales volume exceeding $126 million, a 45% unit increase compared to 2010.
History
Current owner and president Pat Neal founded Neal Communities with his father, Paul Neal, in September 1970. Family members remain involved in the planning, design, construction, and move-in phases of development. Pat Neal’s wife, Charlene Neal, founded the company’s design gallery and has overseen model merchandising since the late 1980s. Mrs. Neal also owns and operates Charlene Neal PureStyle, an interior design division opened in 2010. Pat and Charlene’s son, John Neal, runs John Neal Homes, a semi-custom home building division within Neal Communities’ network of companies.
The company’s other divisions include Neal Signature Homes, Waterscape Pools & Spas, Allegiant Title Professionals, LLC, offering homeowner’s insurance, title and escrow services, and State Street Mortgage, Ltd., which specializes in financial services such as consumer mortgages. The mortgage company, founded in Houston, Texas, became an affiliated business in 2011, when Neal Communities entered into a joint venture to offer mortgages to both Neal Communities’ new home buyers and other new and re-sale buyers.

Neal Communities is now establishing new partnerships and expanding its reach further south into Lee and Collier counties.

 State Street Mortgage, Ltd. – Mortgage division in Neal Communities. Company is a joint-venture with First Continental Mortgage in Houston, TX. Provides services to Neal new home owners as well as other new home buyers.
