L'Wren Scott (born January 1, 1967) is an American fashion designer, costume designer, stylist and model known primarily for her long-term relationship with singer Mick Jagger. Scott was born as Luann Bambrough in Utah on January 1, 1967. She is noted for her height of 1.9 m (6 ft 3 in). Her legs measure 42 inches. She divides her time among London, New York and Paris. At the suggestion of photographer Bruce Weber who spotted her at a Calvin Klein photo shoot, she left Utah aged 17 for Paris to pursue a career as a model. In Paris, she went on to work for Thierry Mugler and Chanel - and model for renowned photographers Guy Bourdin, David Bailey and Jean-Paul Goude. Modelling gave her an entry into the world of fashion - where she befriended designers and pattern cutters.

Scott's first collection was Little Black Dress, launched in 2006. The collection presented an array of black dresses, including her now famous Headmistress dress worn by Madonna. Sarah Jessica Parker, Angelina Jolie, Nicole Kidman,[5] Penélope Cruz and Amy Adams have all worn Scott's dresses to the Academy Awards. Other celebrities who wear Scott's clothes include Michelle Obama,Carla Bruni-Sarkozy, Naomi Campbell, Reese Witherspoon, Christina Hendricks, Jennifer Lopez, Sandra Bullock and Uma Thurman.

In 2010, Scott collaborated with Lancôme to design a capsule collection for the 2010 holiday season featuring a lipstick in Scott's signature bordeaux color. The campaign was shot by photographer Mario Testino and featured model Daria Werbory wearing an outfit designed by Scott.

May 2011 saw the launch of Scott's first collection of handbags, named "Lula" after her mother. The line was launched at Barneys New York, with a personal appearance by Scott.[7] In May 2011, American television host Oprah Winfrey wore Scott's dresses for three of her final television show appearances.
