Things just got personal!

Tom Cruise is suing Bauer Media's Life & Style along with another magazine for 50 million dollars for their stories that claimed Tom "abandoned" his daughter Suri Cruise after his divorce from Katie Holmes.

Although the actor vehemently denies that he abandoned Suri - new information has definitely been uncovered!

Documents from a deposition, where the actor sat down with two lawyers representing the magazines he's suing, record conversations that took place between Tom and attorney Elizabeth McNamarawhere the actor was forced to defend himself from extremely probing questions!

Tom Cruise was asked point blank why he spent so much time promoting his movies and going to Scientology events instead of spending time with his daughter.

He admitted:
“Listen, when there is a divorce — if you look at this also in terms of Suri coming to me and certain agreements that you have, when a divorce occurs thing change. And it’s more complicated, as everyone know when that is, when that occurs, and there are certain agreements; now you have to ask for permission and organize schedules to make things happen. So it wasn’t — it’s not an ideal scene. It’s not an ideal situation.”

Tom admitted that he only saw Suri ten days (in total) from the time period June 18th, 2012 and Thanksgiving 2012, but the actor states he made up for this with frequent phone calls.

Here's what he said:
“I’ve gotten very good at [calling]. I’e gotten very good at it. I tell wonderful stories and they like hearing it.”

The lawyer responded:
“It really doesn’t substitute for being able to be there does it?”

Tom said:
“No, it doesn’t…As I said, I’ve gotten pretty good at communicating and I also find that, you know, Suri, you know, is a very happy child and confident and has a good sense of herself…As I said, things change. Things change. Certainly what doesn’t change is the love I have for my daughter, the fact that I didn’t abandon her emotionally, physically, or otherwise. And in terms of how I feel about her in terms of the responsibility that I feel towards my child is not — is not waned in any way.”

Tom Cruise was also questioned as to whether he and Katie had a signed agreement where Tom was not allowed to see Suri for well over a hundred days. The lawyer asked:
“Was that something that was impossible to do?”

Tom Cruise's response was:
“Unfortunately, in this situation it was impossible.”
We guess they did have an agreement! We wonder why?
Tom Cruise's 50 million dollar lawsuit is set to go to trial next year, and we're sure once that is underway - there will be a lot more information coming to light!

Whatever the truth is, we do hope Tom is spending lots of time with his daughter now!

That is what really counts!!!
