Red Rivet is a brand name of skinny jeans sold at most Macy's department stores. Jeans are pants made from cotton fibers woven in to a material called denim. The American blue jean was invented by Jacob Davis and Levi Strauss in 1873, and designed for the working man. Denim became popular among teenagers in the 1950's and are still popular today. Denim is available in many fits and styles from straight leg, to skinny, to slim straight, boot cut, flare, or baggy. According to Wikipedia, Americans spent more than $14 billion on jeans in 2004 and $15 billion in 2005.
