Jittery Joe's is a chain of coffee houses based in Athens, Georgia. In 1994, the first Jittery Joe’s opened in downtown Athens, Georgia, near the famed 40 Watt Club. Open 24 hours a day, they offered fresh coffee roasted in-store. There are now five locations in Athens, two in Watkinsville, GA and one each in the Georgia cities of Cartersville, Alpharetta, and Buford. There is also a location near the Clemson University campus in Clemson, South Carolina and one in Mercer village across from Mercer University in Macon, Georgia. A shop was opened in the University Commons housing complex at Georgia State University, although it only stayed open for a few months before closing. Its most recently opened shop was opened in a corner of the LifeSprings Resources bookstore on the campus of Emmanuel College in Franklin Springs, Georgia. There is also a location in downtown Milledgeville, Georgia, located near Georgia College and State University. The coffee shop has also received attention due to the recording Jeff Mangum's album Live at Jittery Joe's.

Jittery Joe's expanded into the New York market in August opening a shop inside of LIM College. Drawing acclaim from the New York Times within a month of opening, the store instantly became a Midtown favorite.

Jittery Joe's is host to Ed's WellReads Books, a used book concession that has featured books in the Five Points location since 2002 and has books in the Watkinsville and E. Broad locations as well.

Jittery Joe's has had a special commitment to cycling, both by being a longtime sponsor of the Jittery Joe's Pro Cycling team (see below) and through donating the proceeds of their Alternative Fuel blend to BikeAthens, a local transportation choices organization.[1]
