Noodles & Company (NASDAQ: NDLS), sometimes referred to as Noodles, is a chain of fast casual restaurants located in the United States specializing in proprietary and regionally popular pasta bowls inspired from worldwide cuisine (Mac & Cheese, Pad Thai, et al.) all made-to-order.
 

Founded by Aaron Kennedy in 1995. In December 2010, Catterton Partners and Argentia Private Investments Inc. purchased approximately 90% of the Company's equity interests.

With 345 locations in 26 U.S. states & Washington, D.C., The company went public on June 28, 2013. Noodles & Company had a net income in 2012 of US$5.639 million and a staff of 7000 employees. The Headquarters is located in Broomfield, Colorado.

History
Founder Aaron Kennedy registered The Noodle Shop Colorado in 1995 and opened the first Noodles & Company in the Cherry Creek Neighborhood of Denver with the second location opening in Madison, Wisconsin a year later.

In December 2010, Catterton Partners and Argentia Private Investments Inc. purchased most of the company shares.

From 2004 to 2013, Noodles & Company increased its number of restaurants from 100 to 343, representing a compound annual growth rate of 16%.

On June 28, 2013, Noodles & Company made its initial public offering (IPO) after increasing the share price 78% due to high pre-IPO demand. In its first day as a public company, the stock rose 104%.

The concept is based upon Fusion cuisine taking advantage of the ubiquity of noodle and pasta dishes throughout the world.

The company was founded on the core principle that food can be served quickly and conveniently in an inviting environment without sacrificing quality, freshness or flavor.

Known as Your World Kitchen, Noodles & Company's globally inspired menu consists of more than 25 fresh, customizable noodle bowls, salads, soups and sandwiches that are prepared quickly using quality ingredients. From healthy to indulgent, spicy to comforting, the menu provides favorites for everyone from kids to adults.

Popular dishes include the sweet and spicy Japanese Pan Noodles, zesty Pesto Cavatappi and creamy Wisconsin Mac & Cheese.

The menu is divided into three categories - Asian, Mediterranean and American. Each containing specific pasta or noodles, soup and salad choices. Proteins (e.g. Beef, Chicken, Tofu) can be added at an additional charge.
