Zaxby's is a franchised chain of fast casual restaurants that operates primarily in the Southeastern United States with nearly 600 locations. The first Zaxby's hatched in Statesboro, Georgia, near the Georgia Southern University campus, by childhood friends Zach McLeroy and Tony Townley, to provide a fun, relaxing atmosphere that would keep guests coming back for more. An alternative to fast food, Zaxby’s offers its guests prepared-at-order Chicken Fingers, Traditional or Boneless wings, sandwiches, Zalads and Zappetizers. Zaxby's offers a wide variety of dipping sauces ranging from Wimpy and Tongue Torch to Nuclear and Insane along with its original "Zax Sauce." Zaxby's serves Coca-Cola brand beverages and Dr Pepper.
The dining rooms at Zaxby's restaurants are decorated with assorted whimsical objects and signs, which often vary in theme by location and region. For instance, at one location in Gainesville, Florida, objects related to the University of Florida Gators are used as decorations, while at the Tallahassee, Florida location, objects related to the Florida State University Seminoles are used. Similarly, at the Orlando, Florida location, citrus-industry themed decorations line the walls.
