A 65-year-old woman died Monday and four other people were injured after a taxi cab T-boned a box truck and slammed onto an Upper East Side sidewalk.
Witnesses told police that the box truck had the light on Park Ave. at E. 102nd St. when the taxi cab plowed into its side at 12:51 p.m. The box truck vaulted the sidewalk and slammed into the woman, officials said.
FDNY officials said five people were rushed to Mount Sinai and Cornell University hospitals.The 65-year-old died. Two occupants from the taxi were in critical condition and two others were also being treated for unknown injuries, officials said.
