The US cosmetics label has unveiled a new holiday season collection of products inspired by Hollywood's most iconic screen sirens.

According to makeup legend Bobbi Brown there's a new rule in holiday season makeup: "it's about what makes you feel glamorous." For that reason the company has gone back to the glory days of Tinseltown for its latest seasonal collection, a metallic and sultry set of products designed to add some extra sparkle to your winter eveningwear looks.

The Old Hollywood Eye Palette ($75) features nine metallic shades of eyeshadow, ready to be complemented by the dark black liquid Ink Liner ($27) and the Long Wear Cream Shadow Stick ($28).

For luscious lips, a range of glosses ($24) come in Siren red or Candlelight, Rosé and Pure Gold metallic tones, or you can keep it old school with timeless scarlet lipstick ($28). Nail Polish ($18) also comes in scarlet or tuxedo black as well as chrome and gold metallic finishes.

Lancôme, meanwhile, has launched a Holiday Color Collection available at Macy's and online, with more glitter effect eyeshadow and retro red lipsticks. Rihanna has also recently unveiled her latest collaboration with makeup brand MAC: the Holiday collection ranges in price from $16.50 to $52.50 and features plenty of metallic shades as well as two new shades of lip color 'Pleasure Bomb' and 'Bad Girl RiRi'.

The Bobbi Brown Old Hollywood collection will be available from November at Bobbi Brown stockists as well as online.
