Growing up 
 
Enos Stanley Kroenke (named after St Louis baseball legends Enos Slaughter and Stan Musial) grew up in Mora, a village of just 23 people in Missouri. “My grandparents lived there, my mom and dad,” he said. “The people I had around me all my life, they started with nothing and scratched their way up. We knew the value of a dollar. I was lucky, I grew up with people and had people around me also later in life who really valued education."
 
Meeting his wife Ann
 
 “When Ann and I started going out her father and uncle had this small business, retailing business but they were hard workers,” said Kroenke. “The rest is a big story now but back then it wasn’t.”
 
 Kroenke’s wife, Ann, is the daughter of the Wal-Mart co-founder Bud Walton. She features independently on the Forbes list of the world’s billionaires.
