It's date night for Liam Gallagher and he's made an effort in the fashion stakes for his new girlfriend.

The rocker whisked his new girlfriend, Debbie Gwyther, to Manchester's celeb haunt Italian restaurant San Carlo on Sunday night.

And keen to impress Liam splashed out on lobster and cocktails for his dinner date Debbie, who chose a demure black outfit topped off with an on-trend burgundy fedora.

Liam was celebrating after enjoying his homecoming gig the previous night with his band Beady Eye at Manchester Academy.

A fellow diner said: 'Liam looked really relaxed and happily posed for photos inside the restaurants with fans. He looked like he was enjoying his lobster.

'As he was leaving he was such a gentleman though, he held open the door for a group of girls who were leaving at the same time.'

The couple have reportedly moved into a multi-million pound home together, and now Liam Gallagher and his former personal assistant, 31-year-old Debbie appeared to be very close.

Debbie laughed at Liam's jokes as she sipped an espresso martini and the pair couldn't keep their eyes off each other.

Liam recently separated from his wife, Nicole Appleton and he now lives just five minutes away from the home he shared with the former All Saints singer.

Their marriage hit the rocks following claims of infidelity earlier this year.

He is believed to have fathered a daughter with American music journalist Liza Ghorbani, 39, following an affair that allegedly began after she interviewed him for Rolling Stone three years ago.

Ghorbani filed a £2million lawsuit against the star, who is yet to have a DNA test, for child support.

And his complicated love life took an unexpected twist when he started a new relationship with Debbie, who had also become close to Nicole during her time working for the singer.

Liam is also a parent to 14-year-old son Lennon, with ex-wife Patsy Kensit, and 15-year-old daughter Molly with singer Lisa Moorish.

Former Oasis star Liam certainly made quite a weekend of it back in his home city.

On Friday he was spotted strolling around the Christmas Markets checking out the festive treats.
