She is known for chronicling her failed romances in her songs. But it looks like Taylor Swift may be giving love another try.

The 23-year-old allegedly went on a date with Romeo And Juliet star Douglas Booth, 21, in London, together polishing off eight bottles of beer over a five-hour period, reports Us Weekly.

The pair - who met through Taylor's close friend and Douglas' Romeo And Juliet co-star Hailee Steinfeld - apparently arrived at the Holly Bush pub in Hampstead at around 6pm.

Taylor and the theatre school graduate reportedly ordered two bottles of Big Wave Ale before settling into a leather booth.

'They were talking animatedly,' a source told the publication. 'They got on really well.'

Taylor and Douglas were then moved to a private back room where they apparently ordered shallot tart and soft-shell crab starters.

Taylor - who was in town looking for an apartment - spoke about her friends and career while Douglas 'talked about theater', a source close to Taylor told the magazine.

The pair then moved on to the main course - Douglas got the duck while Taylor stuck with a salad, apparently 'disappointing' the pub's chefs who were 'hoping to impress the star,' reports Us.

After consuming beer, the two allegedly downed double shots of vodka with lime.

'They didn't leave until the last-orders bell chimed,' said the source. 'They had a great time together.'

As to whether a second date is on the cards, the insider claimed: 'They're just friends - right now.'

The pair met back in September, after Hailee introduced them at the LA premiere of Romeo And Juliet.

Taylor told Us Weekly at the after party that 'the movie was incredible,' before proceeding to 'flirt' with Douglas during the soiree.

When she was in London, she decided to ring him up.

'They just went out to get to know each other better,' said the source.

Douglas is said to have been in a relationship with his Great Expectations co-star Vanessa Kirby since 2011.

It seemed he was referring to the actress when he mentioned his 'long-term' girlfriend during an interview with The Standard in September.

The pair were spotted at a Louis Vuitton party together shortly afterwards, but It is unclear whether or not they are still an item.

Douglas is a rising star in Hollywood, and will next be seen in Darren Aronofsky's Noah.

He will also appear in The Wachowski's Jupiter Ascending and thriller Posh from Danish director Lone Scherfig.

The London native first came to prominence with his critically-acclaimed performance as singer Boy George in the 2010 BBC drama Worried About The Boy.
