Quotes About the Marriage of Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner:
Ben: "All relationships, to a certain extent, require your work. We work on it together, we try our best, nobody's perfect ... She's more perfect than I am."
Andrea Mandell: "Married seven years, both have 'gotten better at it,' she [Jennifer] says. 'It's really fun. I probably am up in his grill less about stuff. I don't think I'm a particularly controlling person, but I probably work less to make things fit a mold in my head. And he exceeds my expectations anyway.'"
Jennifer on finding happiness: "My mother is a big believer in being responsible for your own happiness. She always talked about finding joy in small moments and insisted that we stop and take in the beauty of an ordinary day. When I stop the car to make my kids really see a sunset, I hear my mother's voice and smile."
Jennifer: "He knows when to swoop in with the gesture. He's sweet that way. Honestly, I would do anything for that man, because I know it's not taken for granted."
Jennifer: "You steal the time. You steal a date, you steal a kiss, you steal a whisper," she says. "After the kids are asleep you … well, you know. Whatever it is. You slip away for a night."
Jennifer about marriage: "I don't have this fantasy about marriage anymore. Everyone says it takes hard work. Well, it kind of does -- and I'm much more pragmatic about romance than I used to be. [With Scott] I wanted to see him as a white knight and was crushed whenever anything normal happened. I wanted to be the princess. Now I'm much more willing to see myself as human and flawed, and accept someone -- the whole picture. My life is definitely changing for the better. I couldn't be happier or feel more comfortable with the direction it's going in."
UPI: "Ben pursued Jennifer -- not the other way around -- and things just very quickly escalated from there."
Kevin Smith about their wedding: "They're in it for one another, not for anyone else. They didn't need or want a crowd. They just wanted each other."
Jennifer about Ben: "He's really a gentleman. And he's not afraid to laugh at himself or you."
Ben about Jennifer: "I don't think she thinks that she is as drop-dead gorgeous as she is, and I think that is what gives her this incredibly appealing quality."

Jennifer Garner first met Ben Affleck on the set of the 2002 action film Daredevil. At the time, the actress was married to actor Scott Foley and Affleck was engaged to Jennifer Lopez. And though their relationship was completely platonic at the time, their onscreen chemistry was undeniable: The pair (in Feb. 2003 at a Daredevilpress conference) was nominated for best kiss at the 2003 MTV Movie Awards. And Garner called her costar "your basic tall, dark and handsome."

The New Ben & Jen
After Garner's marriage to Foley ended and had a brief romance with Alias costar Michael Vartanand Affleck's high-profile relationship with Lopez was over, the duo (pictured at a Daredevilscreening in Feb. 2003) began dating on the down low. When paparazzi caught them canoodling over Labor Day weekend in 2004, the couple eventually took their romance public and were heralded the new Ben & Jen.

A New Chapter
In April 2005, Garner was spotted around town in Santa Monica, Calif., sporting a curvier body and a sparkling ring. News broke that the All-American boy and the gorgeous girl next door were not only engaged but expecting their first child. "Ben's got the right woman, and he's excited about this new chapter in his life," Affleck's friend, producer Chris Moore, told People at the time. "He's really excited about becoming a father, and Jen seems ecstatic."

Saying I Do
After dating for a year, on June 29, 2005 the couple snuck down to Parrot Cay on Turks and Caicos island to tie the knot. The private ceremony was so small not even their parents attended.

A New Addition
On Jan. 6, 2009, the couple (pictured in Boston on May 8, 2009) and then-3-year-old daughter Violet welcomed baby girl Seraphina. "It's crazy, it's like having 10 kids," she said on Late Show with David Letterman about adding to her brood. "You have one and you think you start to know what you're doing and you have it under control. And then you have the other one and it all just goes to hell in a hand basket!"

Family of Five
As their baby boy continues to get bigger, this family of five is all about the group outings (seen here on March 24 in L.A.) and as they say, the family who plays together, stays together. From trips to the Farmers' Market or the Brentwood Country Mart, Ben and Jennifer are all about togetherness with kids Samuel, Seraphina and Violet.
