Former “Survivor” contestant Elisabeth Filarski wed former Boston College quarterback Tim Hasselbeck on July 6, 2002 in her hometown of Cranston, Rhode Island. Two hundred guests were in attendance, including “Survivor” cast members Rodger Bingham and Tina Wesson.
The ceremony took place at St. Mary’s Church, the parish school Filarski attended as a child.

The bride designed her own wedding dress and wore shoes she purchased for $49.50 at Designer Shoe Warehouse.

Following the ceremony, the newlyweds posed for pictures at the Rhode Island State House before heading to a reception held at the Federal Reserve restaurant in downtown Providence.

They left the following day for their honeymoon. The location was kept a secret — even from family.
