Stephanie Miller (born September 29, 1961) is an American political commentator, comedian and host of The Stephanie Miller Show, a liberal talk radio program produced in Los Angeles and syndicated nationally by Dial Global, and simulcast on television on the Current TV cable network. In 2012, Talkers magazine ranked her the 11th most important radio talk show host in America.

Stephanie Miller, a radio talkshow host, came out to her audience on her Friday, Aug. 13, program.

Miller briefly had a TV show on MSNBC before Rachel Maddow, which ran for one month in 2007. The Stephanie Miller Show, which comes out of Los Angeles, is syndicated by Dial Global.

Talkers, the magazine bible of the industry, has ranked her as the 38th most-important talkshow host.

What makes Miller unique is her personal background. She is the daughter of U.S. Rep. William Miller, who was the running mate of ür-conservative Barry Goldwater (who was himself a very late-in-life convert to gay causes) and chaired the GOP’s national committee.

Like many talkshow hosts, Miller began as a stand-up comic and acted. Miller has been coy about her sexuality, frequently joking about her "future husbands," such as Keith Olbermann.

Miller coming out coincided with country singer-songwriter Chely Wright, who herself had a very public coming-out back in May.
