Actress and Burberry model Gabriella Wilde, 24, has become engaged to her fashion designer-turned-musician boyfriend Alan Pownall.

Wilde, whose real name is Gabriella Zanna Vanessa Anstruther-Gough-Calthorpe (lengthy), is related to Prince Harry's current squeeze Cressida Bonas by marriage (she shares half-siblings with her) and also happens to be her best friend.

She appeared in Burberry's cinematic autumn/winter 2012 campaign alongside musician Roo Panes, but acting is her main ambition and she's just finished filming Carrie alongside Julianne Moore.

Her new fiancé Pownall, 27, is a member of the band Pale, but previously dabbled in fashion design, enjoying a stint at Roland Mouret before moving to Milan to study it further. However, he quit a year in to concentrate on his music career.

Wilde's half-sister, Isabella Calthorpe, is married to Richard Branson's son Sam.
