One way to provide investment funds for your EB-5 immigration visa is using income generated by your business. However, the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Service will require thorough documentation to prove that the capital you are investing in American livelihood was obtained by legal means.
There are a number of ways you can provide evidence for the source of your investment income. In order to get your application approved in a timely manner, you should include the following documents along with your EB-5 application:
Proof of ownership and registration. You must prove that you are the legal owner or proprietor of your business in order to use its profits as investment capital.
Income tax returns. You must provide copies of the last five years of business income tax returns.
Bank account reports. You will need several years’ worth of business bank account reports, outlining the financial operation of your business.
Stock information. Any stock documents, including articles of incorporation and share certificates, must be included.
Salary reports. You may need to provide salary verification of your own income received from your business.
If the amount you receive from your business is not clear to the Immigration Service, you may also need to provide personal financial information, including five years of income tax returns and personal bank account statements.
