When an immigrant granted “suspenddeportation”, it means that the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) that this person is considered a low-risk immigrant, the results discretion, without being deported. Suspension of deportation is temporary relief, may be withdrawn at any time to stop. It is not amnesty or immunity. It does not provide immigration status or turn into a green card or a path to citizenship. It does not extend to the applicant’s family.
Who does meet the conditions for suspension of deportation?
To meet all of the following conditions， may apply for suspension of deportation:
Came to the United States before 16 -year-old
On June 15, 2012, under 31 years of age and have no legal immigration status (status)
From June 15, 2007 to now, continuous residence in the United States
Time of the application, must have been enrolled high school, high school graduate, obtain GED diploma, or in the United States Army Emeritus
Not convicted of a felony, a significant misdemeanor, or three (ormore) other misdemeanor. And did not pose a threat to national or public
The age over 15 will be included in consideration of suspension of deportation. However, if the party is under deportation proceedings (on the immigration court) , has been deported judgment or final judgment voluntary departure  is not included.
