Spain Rehabilitation Center (SRC) is the hub of activities for the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. As an integral part of UAB Health System, Spain Rehab has over 40 years of experience in offering a level of care that is unsurpassed in Alabama. We are a 47 bed rehabilitation hospital featuring advanced, individualized care for adolescents and adult patients recovering from a broad variety of health problems.Spain Rehab Center offers a patient-centered, interdisciplinary treatment approach to patient care. Patient care teams include physiatrists (doctors who specialized in rehabilitation medicine), nurses, nurse practitioners, physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech/language pathologists, psychologists, social workers, rehabilitation professionals and other health care professionals from all areas of the UAB Health System as needed. These efforts result in a comprehensive care plan that coordinates treatment to meet each patient's individual needs.
