Jeffrey H. Wisoff, MD is the Director of the Division of Pediatric neurosurgery, and Associate Professor of Neurosurgery and Pediatrics at the New York University Medical Center. He graduated summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Union College. He received his medical degree, with honors, from George Washington University School of Medicine. Dr. Wisoff completed his neurosurgical residency at NYU under Joseph Ransohoff, M.D., followed by a fellowship in pediatric neurosurgery under Fred J. Epstein, MD.

Dr. Wisoff was a founding member of the NYU division of pediatric neurosurgery in 1985 and assumed its Directorship in 1996.
During the past 20 years, he has made innovative contributions to the surgical treatment of neurological disorders in children, in particular to the treatment of brain tumors, Chiari malformations, hydrocephalus and craniosynostosis. He has published over 100 scientific articles and book chapters, and has been an invited speaker and visiting professor at numerous international sites, including Israel, Poland, Brazil, Argentina, and Japan. Dr. Wisoff has served as co-chair of the Children's Oncology Group Neurosurgery Committee and is chair-elect of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons Section on Pediatric Neurosurgery.
