U.S. Navy Littoral Combat Ship remote mine hunting system to complete the development and testing.

BEIJING, Dec. 16, according to China National Defense Science and Technology Information Network reported that the U.S. Navy Littoral Combat Ship (LCS remote mine hunting system (RMS12 April 9 successfully completed development and testing. Development test (DT purpose is to verify that the equipment meets the reliability , applicability and validity of the request, the results show, RMS performance as expected, the test a success.

Remote mine hunting system main components are equipped with variable depth AN/AQS-20A minehunting remote multitasking semi-submersible circulator (RMMV, designed for use in deep water for diving and sink to the bottom and anchor Ray Ray probing , classification, identification and location. RMMV is a highly durable, semi-automatic, low observability diesel powered unmanned aircraft, the LCS responsible for laying and maintenance .AN/AQS-20A contains five separate sonar / sensor unit, light weight, and can remain stable .AN/AQS-20A in the state can drag objects suspected to locate mines and provide images and related data operator. LCS is responsible for all of the data will be recorded and analyzed.
