A political party opposed to U.S. drone strikes in Pakistan has revealed what it says is the name of the CIA station chief in Islamabad.

Shireen Mazari, the information secretary of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf party, called Wednesday for the station chief and the head of the CIA to be tried for a recent drone strike.

CIA spokesman Dean Boyd would not confirm the station chief's name and declined to immediately comment.

The Associated Press is not publishing the station chief's name because it could not verify its authenticity.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf is led by Pakistani cricket star Imran Khan, a vocal critic of drone strikes.

He and other Pakistani officials publicly criticize the strikes as a violation of the country's sovereignty, although the government has secretly supported some past attacks.
