On January 16, 1984, Kurt Dalbey and John Tachouet opened the doors of The Equity Group, Inc. Realtors with a total of six real estate agents in less than 1,000 square feet of office space in Raleigh Hills.

With solid west side achievements, the time came to expand to the east side. The first office opened in 1991 near the junction of I-205 and Highway 224 - the heart of the Sunnyside area. Offices in Gresham, the Lloyd Center (Broadway), Hillsboro, south Portland, and Vancouver followed.

On December 11, 2000 The Equity Group Realtors formed a partnership with RE/MAX, LLC to become RE/MAX Equity Group. Since then we have opened new offices in Canby and a drop in center in Newberg.

How did RE/MAX Equity Group achieve such solid results? One word is all it takes to sum up the reason for our success — "Agents!"
