Our company was formed in January, 1972, with three Agents in a small office on Rouse Drive in Virginia Beach. Just a short three months later, we moved into larger quarters at 5633 Princess Anne Road. By the end of the company's first year in business, we had an Insurance Division, a Farm, Land Management and Consulting Department and the Commercial-Industrial-Investment Division.

In January of 1975, William E. Wood and Associates joined a relocation network of leading independent real estate firms across the nation. This affiliation ultimately led to the development of a Relocation Department and our current affiliation with one of the country's largest relocation networks.

Since 1977, the Company has progressively expanded its market coverage with additional locations in Virginia Beach, Norfolk, Newport News, Great Bridge, Churchland, Poquoson, Williamsburg, Smithfield, Franklin, Elizabeth City and Currituck. We currently have twenty locations, including the Farm House, which is our corporate headquarters and is housed on the site of the original Wood farm. In addition to progressive market penetration, the Company has also expanded the services offered to our Agents -- including training, new construction, property management, title and hazard insurance programs, mortgage loans, marketing and technological services.
