Terrence L. Wright founded Nevada Title Company in 1979 in Las Vegas, Nevada. It all began in 1978 with the acquisition of Western Title Company. Mr. Wright envisioned the Las Vegas Valley as a thriving community with enormous long-term growth potential. His core business philosophy, focused on building strong relationships with his employees and customers, and being a responsible citizen, continues today. These principles created a business model for success.
Over the next 30 years, Nevada Title Company continued to grow, becoming one of Nevada’s leading title and escrow companies. In 1985, Mr. Wright formed Nevada Construction Services, a voucher control and inspection services company. In 1993, Mr. Wright again forged a new path when he established Westcor Land Title Insurance Company, formally known as Nevada Title Insurance Company. It was Nevada’s first domestic title insurance company and is currently among the top 10 largest title insurers in the country.
Nevada Title Company has a long history of providing the highest level of service possible. This has been primarily attributed to offering in-depth and diverse experience within the escrow, underwriting and title realms. The company also conducts business within the following areas: Commercial, Residential, Multi-family, Business and Lenders.
The commercial department has been responsible for closing a very high percentage of the gaming transactions conducted on the Las Vegas Strip. The service levels are driven by a staff of escrow and title officers representing more than 200 years of experience within each area. Since its inception, the commercial department continues to be solely dedicated toward commercial business.
The lender service department has also contributed in providing its leadership in the industry. In 1980, Nevada Title Company introduced the first lender service department, processing commercial and residential refinance transactions. This streamlined business operations and enhanced service to lender clients. The department also introduced a 24-hour turnaround time that is still present today.
In recent years, the company’s residential department has worked on many significant high-rise and condominium projects in the valley. This experience has allowed the department to develop some of the most efficient and service-friendly closing processes within the high-rise sector. The residential staff represents many years of escrow experience and their long-term residence of Las Vegas.
Nevada Title Company is proud of its commitment to give back to the community, and because of this, the company remains committed to a high standard of civic responsibility. In terms of industry involvement and support, Mr. Wright has served as the past chairman for Nevada Development Authority, Young Presidents’ Organization and University of Nevada, Las Vegas.  This tradition of community is still evident, with the company’s employees participating and supporting in excess of 25 industry and philanthropic organizations within Southern Nevada.
Today, Nevada Title Company consists of more than 200 employees and spans five locations throughout Southern Nevada. The company has expanded to include affiliate agencies in Reno, Arizona, California, Colorado and Florida.
