We recently posted a roundup of mod 1960s interiors that would have been fit for Don Draper and the rest of our favorite "Mad Men" characters. But surprisingly, the AMC show's costume designer Janie Bryant's home is hardly influenced by this era.

Elle Decor got a peek inside Bryant's fabulous Los Angeles home where her eclectic style shines through. For example, Bryant's living room has pink Georgian-style mahogany chairs juxtaposed with retro gold candelabras. "I'm influenced by the 1770s and the 1970s," she told the magazine. "I have no fear of anything gilded or gold."

And while every room feels completely different, there's a cohesiveness throughout the house -- because of the bird decor. Yep, we said "bird decor." Bryant has outfitted every space with different feathered friends, like the hummingbirds on the bedroom curtains and a variety of species in an elaborate painting in the dining room. "Hummingbirds, peacocks, ostriches, and cockatoos are my favorite birds because they all fall in the categories of both quirky and elegant," she told the magazine. "That’s my style. A little bit of uniqueness, but it also has to incorporate that elegance."
