Firefighters battle a fire at a mansion worth more than $4 million in Indian Hill, Ohio, on Friday, Jan. 10.

A 10,000-square-foot 22-room mansion worth more than $4 million was completely destroyed by a massive fire in a Cincinnati suburb.

INDIAN HILL, Ohio — A massive fire in a Cincinnati suburb destroyed a 10,000-square-foot mansion, leaving behind only a charred frame.

Lt. Jim Gilligan of the Madeira and Indian Hill Joint Fire District told The Cincinnati Enquirer that it took firefighters about seven hours to extinguish the blaze in Indian Hill.

No one was injured, but Gilligan said the 22-room mansion was a complete loss.

The Hamilton County auditor's website shows the home's market value at more than $4 million. The family who owns the mansion wasn't home when the blaze erupted, with flames stretching more than 30 feet.

Gilligan said a fire hydrant at the home didn't provide enough water to put out a fire of that magnitude.

Firefighters were investigating the cause of the blaze.
