History
Pegasystems was founded in 1983 by CEO and Chairman Alan Trefler, a former world chess champion. egasystems went public in 1996 and is listed on the NASDAQ exchange under the symbol PEGA. Alan has been recognized by several different organizations for his vision and thought leadership.
On 15 March 2010 Pegasystems announced it was acquiring Chordiant for a price of up to approximately $161.5 million.
