Montverde Academy is an international, coeducational, independent college preparatory school for grades PK3-12, with our boarding program serving grades 7-12, and post-graduate studies. Our mission is to inspire students to become knowledgeable leaders with global vision that instills a passion for learning, and that nurtures character development in a disciplined and diverse community. Five generations of Montverde Academy graduates have been guided by three fundamental principles: Knowledge, Character and Community. These principles are illustrated in the classroom through Subject Area Concentration diplomas, as well as Advanced Placement and Honors courses. Seventy-six percent of our students pass the Advanced Placement exams and 58% score a 4 or higher. Our students have a 100% college acceptance rate, including prestigious schools such as Harvard, Yale, MIT, and UC Berkeley.
 
Opening on September 23, 1912 in a two-room wooden building, the Academy now educates nearly 1,000 students, including more than 300 boarding students from 13 states across America and 48 countries. Our 125-acre campus includes an athletic complex featuring a 400-meter running track, soccer, baseball, softball, and football fields and four tennis courts. A new media arts facility contains an instrumental music hall, private rehearsal rooms, computer laboratory, and a television broadcast and recording studio. The 2012-2013 school year marks the 100th year for Montverde Academy.
