Students sing National Anthem at Loyola University

Thank you to all those who participated in and attended the Loyola University Basketball game. We had over 30 students singing and 100+ attending in the “St. Raymond Section” of the Gentile Arena.   We sounded and looked great in our red and black.  A big thank you goes out to Mrs. Cheryl Burt for preparing and leading our students in the National Anthem!   Fans gave the students a wonderful and rousing applause.  See the photos below from the event. Photos and video of this event will be displayed at school so everyone has a chance to see what an amazing experience this was.

Thank you to everyone from St. Raymond who volunteered at the St. Mark PADS site on Monday nights during the 2012-2013 season.  Whether you donated food, cooked or served a meal, set up the site, worked a shift or cleaned your efforts are greatly appreciated.  This year was challenging.  St Mark PADS had record breaking numbers and were open on Christmas Eve and New Year Eve.  We averaged 47 guests per week (last year was 43) and for the first time in our history four nights had 60 plus guests.  A total 4300 meals were provided (dinner, breakfast and bag lunch) and 4600 pieces of linens were used.  Pictured are St Raymond volunteers who attended the end of the season appreciation party on May 6.  Many other St. Raymond volunteers were not present.  The PAD site will open again Monday October 7, 2013.
