History
Solomon Schechter Day School of Raritan Valley has been educating Jewish children in Central New Jersey for 30 years. Founded by a charter Board of Trustees, the school opened its doors on September 9, 1981 with 95 students and 12 teachers. The founders envisioned a school that provides academic excellence combined with the promotion of the values and traditions of conservative Judaism. The school began serving pre-K-6 graders, and now serves children in grades K-8.  While the school has seen expansions in both physical space and numbers of students, we continue to be housed in our original location, the East Brunswick Jewish Center. We are part of a nation-wide network of Schechter Schools. Our vision is to be the premier Jewish day school in Central New Jersey.
