Saint Gregory’s School was founded in 1962 by Catholic laymen and women who believed there was a need for an educational institution for boys with the highest educational standards coupled with strict limitations on class size and a proper emphasis on co-curricular activities.  Saint Gregory’s seeks to develop in its students, leadership, character, and self discipline in an atmosphere of rigorous scholastic and moral training.  In pursuit of these objectives, the School is devoted to the advancement of each child’s intellectual and creative potential.  This individual growth is achieved by emphasis on small classes under the supervision of superior teachers with close personal attention to the students’ needs and capacities.

Saint Gregory’s School is located on 22 acres in Loudonville, a suburb of Albany, New York and serves students from many surrounding communities.  Saint Gregory’s accepts boys and girls aged 3 to 6 in its Nursery through Kindergarten program, and all boys in grades 1 through 8.
