Developed by Pearson Education, the Pharmacy Admission Test (PCAT) helps colleges of pharmacy identify quality applicants. Pharmaceutical careers demand a broad base of scientific preparation and general knowledge. As such, your PCAT score can help to predict how well you might succeed in the demanding science courses required by a pharmacy program.

●You may take the PCAT and receive a PCAT score no more than five times, and the PCAT costs $199.

●This price includes one paper copy of your scores mailed to you as well as a paper copy of your scores sent to three pharmacy colleges of your designation.

The actual PCAT test is comprised of 240 multiple-choice questions and two writing questions.
●It tests several subject areas, including writing, verbal ability, biology (general, microbiology, anatomy, and physiology), general and organic chemistry, reading comprehension, and quantitative ability including basic math, algebra, probability and statistics, pre-calculus, and calculus.

●The test takes approximately four hours to complete.

●You can expect to receive your paper PCAT score within 6 weeks after you take the exam. An official transcript version, the only version accepted by pharmacy colleges, will be sent directly to the colleges.
